New Board of Directors Elected
March 4, 2004
The new Board of Directors for the Baton Rouge Information Systems Security Association has been elected. The results of hte 2004 election are as follows:

Dustin Puryear, Puryear Information Technology - President
Buddy Couvillion - Vice President
Dan Hill, Albemarle Corporation - Treasurer
Ricky Salmon, Sparkhound - Secretary
Open Position - Communications Officer

At the March 2004 meeting Dustin Puryear, the new President, discussed his new vision for the organization as being more educationally focused than the Chapter being a place for professionals to simply gather.

The website calendar page is now dynamic and should provide more updated information. In addition, the calendar now drives an automated announcement system that notifies chapter members of the events. Be sure to subscribe to the announcements list to receive the notices. Chapter Announces Official Formation

The Chapter has been officially chartered by the Information Systems Security Association.

Partnership with Barnes and Noble

Llyod Doub has successfully negotiated a parternership with Barnes and Noble allowing us the use of their facilities to give presentations to the general public. The first presentation date is to be announced soon. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know.
